I like the part about the "sucks site" -- the fixubuntu site isn't a "sucks site", it just offers a few lines of shell to turn off some settings, making no judgment on whether ubuntu "sucks". But yeah Mark, just go ahead and dismiss it as a "sucks site", that really makes your apology seem genuine.

Well I am not defending his 'sucks site' term, but one could argue that the name of the site itself is making a judgement.

It's a <i>sucks</i> site.

If someone wants to disable online searches, they can simply go to Settings→Privacy→Search and perform a single click to disable.

But that doesn't require giving super user permissions to a bunch of shell commands found on the Internet.
