Well, 99% of all Debian users don't care about m68k. And so the port was dropped from the archive years ago when it couldn't keep up instead of holding back kernel, libc and toolchain versions, Debian freezes/releases and whatnot. Same for alpha and hppa.

Yet people argue that kFreeBSD and Hurd require all of Debian to bend over backwards to support them no matter the cost.
