Which init system for Debian?

I do not see the TC role as making a choice between candidates. That would a political decision. Instead I expect the TC to evaluate whether

1) there is an upgrade path from sysvinit to the new system

2) whether the new system covers all the use cases that are supported by sysvinit.

3) whether the new system is compatible with packages upgrade.

etc.

You don't need a TC to answer those questions... Since all three contenders support init.d scripts, they all satisfy those conditions.
