OIN Surpasses 600 Licensees in its Patent Non-Aggression Community

Open Invention Network (OIN) has announced that it has surpassed the milestone of 600 members in its patent non-aggression community. ""Since our formation, in addition to dramatically growing the number of participants in the OIN community, we have thoughtfully expanded the scope of our Linux System definition and developed important programs like Linux Defenders," said Keith Bergelt, CEO of Open Invention Network. "We will continue to improve as we fulfill our mission of providing Linux and open source developers, distributors and users the freedom to innovate and operate.""

FOSDEM14: Graphics DevRoom: call for speakers.

There will be a graphics devroom at this year's FOSDEM (Free and Open Source Developer's European Meeting). FOSDEM will take place February 1-2, 2014 in Brussels, Belgium. This announcement is the call for speakers for the graphics devroom.

Real World Cryptography Workshop

The Real World Cryptography Workshop will be held in New York City, NY January 13-15, 2014. "The Real World Cryptography Workshop aims to bring together cryptography researchers with developers implementing cryptography in real-world systems. The main goal of the workshop is to strengthen the dialogue between these two groups. Topics covered will focus on uses of cryptography in real-world environments such as the Internet, the cloud, and embedded devices." Registration is required and closes December 20, 2013.
