	Hello,
there's a new beta of ALT Linux [1] available [2].  It's moving
to become a release -- most known release bugs are fixed, and the
cleanups are now rather cosmetic. [3]

The release is especially suited for desktop and mobile customers
with its enhanced support of USB, ACPI, and modern hardware.  
Its balanced mix of software is designed to serve as all-in-one
solution for daily work, and is backed up by online repositories
of distribution packages and security updates available via
APT-RPM and the Synaptic frontend.

You're welcome to give it a run -- and if any bugs are still
there, Bugzilla [4] is waitin' on them!
