I have a Samsung phone that I got for $40 CAD on Newegg three years ago. The keypad mat has lifted a little (probably this was my fault, though I can't recall why) but otherwise it is still as good as new. It stores 100 text messages before it starts deleting them and can add ~50 new words to its t9 before it starts deleting them. (When I have to re-teach it my girlfriend's name, I know I've done a complete cycle.) Other than that I'm perfectly happy with it.

Because it is so cheap, it does not attract thieves and I can paint it whenever I get bored with the color. Right now mine is fluorescent orange, which makes it very easy to see when I drop it.

A charge lasts 3-6 days depending on how much I use it. (When I bought it, this was 4-7 days.)

Not sure if you can still buy it today, but here is the product link:
