Another major disappointment concerned bad debugging and performance-measurement tools.

I am wondering what performance measuring tools they use on Windows, and if paying is an option then why "Intel VTune" or "AMD Catalyst" could not fit the bill. It would be really educating if they can try different ones (including open source KernelShark). Since gaming is very demanding an overview on performance measuring techniques on Linux will be helpful for all of us.
