Cinnamon 1.6 released

Version 1.6 of the Cinnamon desktop has been released. It includes a number of workspace improvements, a new window "quick-list," better notification tracking, an improved sound applet, and more. "Cinnamon will eventually handle all visible layers of the Gnome desktop and provide an integrated experience, not only in terms of window and workspace management, but also in terms of file browsing, configuration and desktop presentation. Cinnamon 1.6 comes with tight integration for Nemo and a brand new backgrounds selection screen."

Hope it makes it to LM Maya asap, so far I'm very happy with Cinnamon (running 1.4) but it does have some sharp edges (memory leaks, a few bugs).

I also am very happy with Cinnamon. I am a bit dismayed that with some effort to get it into Debian by members of Linux Mint, that it seems unable to attract a package sponsor despite now being packaged and compiling lint-free. I am/will be running it in Wheezy, and I strongly advocate the project to make sure it is packaged and ready when Wheezy is released as stable.
