What about this strange, unacceptable bug since the first 3.5rc kernels:
the ffmpeg-0.7.11 ./configure command gives a buggy config.h file
Is there a pilot on our plane?

Maybe you could give us some context, so we understand how this is kernel-related?

Have you contacted the ffmpeg developers to hear what they have to say about it?

If you believe it is kernel related, have you:
a) tested the final 3.5 kernel?
b) reported the bug to lkml with relevant details?

If you have not done the above you really don't have any real right to complain.

You might also want to question why you are using such an old version of ffmpeg : last time I looked, ffmpeg was on the 0.11 series.

If there is any breakage from the kernel headers in 3.5, it will start to show up now - but only for those of use on the bleeding edge, and we won't be building ffmpeg-0.7. But, I haven't seen that sort of breakage for a few years, so like the other responders, I think you are mis-attributing whatever problem you are seeing.
