Each Fedora release is supported for about 13 months. Support for F15 will end when F17 has been out for a month. This leaves only a short window when Fedora supports 3 releases at once.

Ubuntu is currently supporting 8.04 LTS Server, 10.04 LTS Server and Desktop, 11.04, 11.10, and 12.04 LTS. Regular releases are supported for 18 months, LTS 3-5 years.

That's way it's been. Nothing has changed.
