Before seeing this, I thought that OpenOffice was running out of steam and that it was just something to be ignored with LibreOffice being the interesting project.
But there are many features listed in the wiki and they seem interesting, so now there are two active projects to watch.

On one hand it's a bit sad that the fork was needed, on the other hand both are using ODF, so thanks a lot IBM!

For the time being (until codebases diverge) LO can pick most features they want from AOO, by virtue of their license. Patches cannot go in the other direction, though.
