I'd encourage anyone who does so to retain control over the way those copyrights are used. This isn't a dig against the SFC, just a good idea in general.

Most definitely. A standard agreement along these lines (and I've signed them for Harald in the past too) would grant authority to act on your behalf, on a temporary basis that you can terminate at any time; perhaps with a reasonable notice period.

We're certainly not talking about copyright assignments or anything like that.

I trust the SFC to handle things appropriately, and if they ever lost my trust I could withdraw my authority simply by sending them an email and telling them so.
