Trabas has open-sourced Trabas VoIP Billing
Trabas (Jakarta, Indonesia) has released the source code of Trabas VoIP
Billing, a proven, high quality, web-based VoIP billing management, to the
open source community under the GNU General Public Licence
(www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl.html). The source code of Trabas VoIP Billing
resides at www.trabas.com/opensource
Trabas VoIP Billing is designed to provide comprehensive billing
processes from rating to invoicing to Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP)
operators, Internet Service Providers (ISPs), Internet Telephony Service
Providers (ITSPs), and other IP Services and corporations. It supports
post-paid calls, inbound-calls and outbound-calls, individualized and
complex customer rate tables, retail and corporate accounts. It also
features invoice generation and provides billing-related financial reports
such as Call Summary and Account Receivable.
Since Trabas VoIP Billing is web-based, customer service officer can
update, subscribe and view customer information via any web browser, and
management can monitor the business performance remotely.
"We have used and believed in open source portfolio since our inception in
1995, and this is not the first time we contribute to the open source
community," said Rheza Sutedja, managing director of Trabas.
Developers now have the freedom to use Trabas VoIP Billing technology to
best suit their needs, whether to improve their own products, to build new
value-added products on top of Trabas VoIP Billing, or to improve it and
contribute new components for Trabas VoIP Billing to the open source
community.
A number of major IP services in Indonesia had purchased Trabas VoIP
Billing Support, which included deployment, maintenance, training, and
custom development of specific services and modules.
VoIP operators from U.S.A., South America, Africa, Eastern Europe, Middle
East, Asia and Australia, have also shown interest in Trabas VoIP Billing.
Therefore, by providing the source open, VoIP operators, ITSPs, IP
Services, ISPs and corporations even in the regions where Trabas has no
representatives can install, test, modify and deploy Trabas VoIP Billing.
