ADDISON-WESLEY PUBLISHES DESKTOP LINUX BOOK: "MOVING TO LINUX: KISS THE
BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH GOODBYE!"

Expected to Become the Premier Book Primer for Using Linux on the Desktop

Upper Saddle River, NJ (AUGUST 29, 2003) - Addison-Wesley, the leading
publisher of advanced technology books, announces the release of Marcel
Gagne's latest book, Moving to Linux: Kiss the Blue Screen of Death
Goodbye!, (ISBN 0-321-15998-5 ), intended to demystify the Linux phenomenon
for the everyday computer user by enabling the reader to immediately test
drive Linux with a bootable CD, eliminating the need for an installation.

Moving to Linux instructs the reader on how to use Linux for:
* creating documents with OpenOffice.org;
* sending email;
* browsing the Web;
* ripping music and playing CDs;
* connecting digital scanners and cameras.

Marcel Gagne, an award-winning author of the Linux Journal "Cooking with
Linux" monthly column, said he was inspired to write the book because of
the frequent troubleshooting calls he received from friends and family
experiencing problems with Windows systems.

"I told them, I'll fix your Windows PC, but I'll fix it my way- by
installing Linux," Gagne said.

Marcel Gagne is also author of Linux System Administration: A User's Guide,
also published by Addison-Wesley.
