You mean Do The Right Thing as in giving their users an init system that is actually capable of reliably killing a service instead of listening to whining kernel developers that make up 0.01% of their user base?

+1. I'm so looking forward to having a init system that is actually good for more than spawning getty, that'd I'd consider switching to Fedora if Debian ends up *NOT* using systemd.

Well, systemd is already packaged in unstable and it works rather nicely. Even if debian doesn't adopt it as the default init system, it'd probably stay available, so I wouldn't switch to Fedora just because of that.
