Congratulation to Linux Mint teams!

I recommend this distro to anyone intending to violate software patents by using unlicensed technology. Civil disobedience in computing.

Note that laws are modified because some people do not respect them just a bit. Marginal law infringement is the source of legal progress.

Are there any Mint users here that can tell me what differentiates this release from, say, Ubuntu and Debian beside having a different theme for the GUI and a different application menu?

Mint is based on Debian like Ubuntu and has some nicer integration of non-free hardware and is cleaner. One item that turned me off is that Mint adds a "search engine optimizer" to Firefox that generates ad revenue to fund the project.

I, too, found the Linux Mint start-page for Google searches in Firefox to be annoying. Fortunately, I could change that behavior, did did. Not that I'm against Clem funding this project! So, I donate regularly to Linux Mint, via PayPal.
