Kernel release status
The current development kernel is 2.6.39-rc7, released on May 9. Says Linus: "
So things have been pretty quiet, and unless something major comes up I believe that this will be the last -rc." Full details can be found in the long-form changelog.
Stable updates: the 2.6.32.40, 2.6.33.13, and 2.6.38.6 stable updates were released on
May 9. Each contains a long list of important fixes.
