Coming from another Gingerbread ROM (Oxygen 2.0.3, which I can highly recommend) on my HTC Desire (GSM), I tried installing CM7, but after installing found that I had lost root. Still searching the interwebs to find out which magical incantations I might have missed. CM 6.1.1 and other ROMs have been just fine on it.
