The fortune command supplied with FreeBSD includes a database of FreeBSD tips and tricks. Such a thing would be useful as part of a login profile on Linux machines too; anyone know how to create a fortune DB file?

and a few of those are already available with
the LOST tarball. In addition, the format of
fortune files, and few conversion scripts for
conversion of fortune type database to LOST
format and vice versa are included with the
LOST tarball.LOST snippets are also available
as fortune files.
