Microsoft sues Motorola, citing Android patent infringement (ars technica)

Unfortunately the "publishing" part of the deal has been comprehensively reneged on. Look at the wording of many current patents: the wording is so vague that even an expert in the field will struggle to understand what is claimed, let alone reproduce it.

The patent system is fatally flawed, and has been ever since lawyers took control of it. Now the only people to profit are the lawyers.
