Mozilla Labs Gaming launches

The Mozilla Labs Gaming project has announced its existence. "Modern Open Web technologies introduced a complete stack of technologies such as Open Video, audio, WebGL, touch events, device orientation, geo location, and fast JavaScript engines which make it possible to build complex (and not so complex) games on the Web. With these technologies being delivered through modern browsers today, the time is ripe for pushing the platform. And what better way than through games?" The project is starting with a competition to see who can build the best web-based game.

Hopefully, Mozilla Labs can compete with Google Labs. After reading about Google's Eric Schmidt, I deleted Chrome for good. With his attacks on privacy and Net Neutrality, Google is Evil:

So says the web site with javascript callbacks to Facebook on all its pages. LOL. Google may well be a threat to net neutrality, but I won't be taking my outrage in a nice pre-packaged form from yet another professional outrage advocacy company. Thanks, tho.

You registered just to post that link?

(I have my concerns about Google's motivations, but you have to admit that makes yours look suspicious too.)

When jumping cat gets millions of hits and your expensive smear campaign generates less then quarter million when you already wrote it hit that mark... what will you do? I'm not big fan of conspiracy theories, but now this explanation starts to look more and more real.
