There is a video from the Ubuntu Developers Summit where Scott James Remnant discusses systemd. He touches on cgroups and other bits of systemd he would like to see in upstart or he feels doesn't work in the real world.

The session is called Upstart Q&A and the bit on systemd starts at 36:15
