Not saying that anything is unimportant. Just surprised that there are so _many_ important changes in a .8 release. Wish the bugs should had been caught earlier.

These bugs *are* being caught "early", in that this kernel release has yet to go into wide usage (ie. Distributions generally aren't released with it.) It is not yet "stable", it is being stabilized. That .8 will turn into .50-ish someday, so just be thankful for those people who are using and testing it now.
