The CinelerraCV Project (Linux Journal)

I've used Cinelerra for a few little things and have been very happy with it. Crashes? Yes sometimes but less recently and, helpfully, you can almost always get back to exactly where you left off with only a couple clicks and little waiting. It always saves its temporary work after every operation.
