- Is there anything that IBM has licensed from SCO that couldn't be replaced with code from FreeBSD?

We believe that UNIX System V provided the basic building blocks for all subsequent computer operating systems, and that they all tend to be derived from UNIX System V (and therefore are claimed as SCO's intellectual property)." Well, there's always Amiga OS. :-) It's interesting that Chris Sontag is claiming all subsequent operating systems "tend to be derived" from System V, not just UNIX-like operating systems. I wonder, does he include Windows NT in this group, which is more akin to VMS than UNIX? The idea that all good OS ideas flow of SCO is incredible. Has he actually used Unixware. More to the point, does he know that it sucks?
