Subject:  Announcing CrossOver Office, version 1.3.5 (the Backport)
Date:  15 May 2003 11:02:44 -0500

Hello Everyone,

I am very pleased to announce the release of version 1.3.5
of CrossOver Office.

This is a backport version, and is *only* appropriate
for Office customers that have elected not to use version 2.0.

All Plugin customers, and Office customers that have access
to version 2.0 should delete this email right now.

The key change in version 1.3.5 is that it now operates
properly on glibc 2.3 systems, including SuSE 8.2,
RedHat 9.0, and Mandrake 9.1.

I am very grateful to a number of customers that took the
time to help us test this release. However, due to its
limited appeal, it has not been as widely tested as we
normally like prior to a release. Thus, we recommend
only installing this release if you are actively having a problem.

Now, anyone installing this release is likely to not have
active support with us; emails sent to office-support@codeweavers.com
will likely be rejected with level 0.

We will provide a limited range of support for this release,
but only for problems relating to installation.
If you have such a problem, write directly to store@codeweavers.com.

The full change log is included below.

Cheers,

Jeremy

  Major change:
Backport of the support for the new glibc NPTL
threading model. This should enable CrossOver Office
to work on new distributions such as Redhat 9,
        SuSE 8.2, and Mandrake 9.1.

    Minor bug fixes:
Fix Gnome2 Association handling in SuSE 8.1
Fix KDE Associations on RedHat 8
Enable FrontPage to start (but it still has bugs)
Fix the Euro Sign in SuSE
Get the 'Detach All' dialog working in Notes
        Get Notes print preview working
Enable Notes to display bullets with new 'Winedings' fonts
Support the broken RPM in RedHat 8.0
        Other minor fixes
