Hi,
First let me wish you a Happy GNU Year.
I am writing this to let you know of an interesting Free Software
campaign that was conducted in India recently. A team of 4 people,
including myself, walked the entire length of our state - Kerala -
covering 1200+ kilometers on foot and spread the message of Free
Software through formal functions in educational institutions along
the way and through direct public interaction on the roads. The walk,
primarily based on Gandhian principles started on Oct 2, birthday of
Mahatma Gandhi and ended on Nov 14.
We used to blog everyday during the walk and we have managed to
photo-document the complete journey (~8000 photos). The blog and
photos can be found at <http://www.freedomwalk.in>
The campaign was recently covered on FSF at
<http://www.fsf.org/blogs/community/freedom-walk> and I was pointed to
you by Georg Greve of FSF Europe.
If you think that this is a campaign worthy of being covered on
lwn.net, I will be more than happy to provide you with further
information.
Hope to hear from you soon.
Best Regards
Anoop John
