Photos from the 2008 Kernel Summit

The Linux Foundation has posted a set of photos from the 2008 Kernel Summit. If these pictures are to be believed, the Summit involved a lot of time spent consuming alcoholic beverages. But it was a more serious event than that, honest.

I suppose that more descriptive names for each image (indicating who's in the picture) would be too tall an order?

I recognize Linus (linux-214, linux-063), Theodore Ts'o (linux-323), and our esteemed editor (linux-212, linux-304), but who's that sitting to Linus's left (right in image)?

Is that Andrew Morton in linux-025? Who's that in linux-360? I know I've seen him here before, just can't remember where.

Many thanks to the summit participants for working towards making Linux the Best Operating System Ever™, to the photographer and whoever uploaded the images to Flickr, and to our editor for posting the link.

P.S. If you're going to read Linux Kernel in a Nutshell, you might as well get comfortable.

Yes, that's Andrew Morton. The person sitting next to Linus appears to be David Miller. Not sure of the person in 360 image.

You have to be a bit of an old-timer to recognize the guy in linux-360 - that's Jim Pick.

Looks like LPC

These photos looks to be from LPC as I could see some people who are not in the kernel summit group photo
