This is a critical peice of Linux infrastructure, I am surprised that companies are not doing more.
Think about it... There are dozens and dozens of companies out there that are producing 'NAS'-style devices that offer windows file sharing capabilities and the vast majority of those are going to be running Samba.
With Samba4 they could offer full Active Directory interopability plus the ability to be it's own Active Directory server. A full Windows domain controller built into their products. The amount of small businesses and home offices that would love to have that is staggering. Put a nice web interface on it and it'll absoluetely be very very competitive against Microsoft's SBS stuff.
Combine that with Openchange and the ability for that to be a Exchange replacement with Outlook compatibility (not to mention the ability for Evolution to natively integrate into Exchange/AD with full MAPI support) then NAS people could offer a fantastic value.
Hell, for a mid-end style NAS all it would be would be a firmware update and people would have the ability to replace their Windows servers with ease.
