So now you won't get those annoncements from Fedora.

And in exchange you will get them form:

* The GNOME project
* The KDE project
* The GNU project
* The Linux Kernel maintainers
* The Apache foundation
* The OpenOffice maintainers
* Sun (for VirtualBox and MySQL)
* The Eclipse foundation
* The Blender foundation
* ...

And those are only the big guys. Many of the packages are maintained by much smaller groups.
Some of them could not care less (or wouldn't have the manpower) to care about your
distribution.

You'll have to get public keys of all of them in a reliable way. Verify their announcements,
and help them debug the problems from applying the latest fix on your special platform.

Sounds like fun!
