It is easy to take a few emotionally charged snapshots, especially when children are around. But showing learning progress after a few years is what counts.

Even in the first world there is little evidence that laptops for children do any good. I mean, it's good to have them if the kids show any interest; but for the vast majority it's just not that useful as a tool for learning. Now imagine in a poor country.
