Hi,
We have today, 14th January 2008, made available the first Release Candidate
of our new GNOME desktop environment for Slackware Linux.
Originally based on the Freerock GNOME project, GNOME.SlackBuild (GSB)
provides the latest GNOME stable (2.20.3) binary packages and complete source
build system for Slackware Linux.
The GSB project has been re-vitalised by a new development team who have, over
the past several months of hard work, re-engineered the GSB source build
system and brought the project back to the forefront of the GNOME packaging
projects for Slackware Linux.
In order to improve our GNOME desktop, we are looking for volunteers to test
our latest build (for Slackware 12.0) and provide us feedback, bug reports and
any ideas or suggestions.
We would be grateful if you could place an announcement (and possibly summary
of our project) on your website, along with a link to our project at:
 	http://gnomeslackbuild.org
A summary of our project follows:
GNOME SlackBuild is a complete GNOME Desktop Environment for Slackware Linux,
encompassing all the needed packages for a full, clean installation of GNOME
for Slackware. It aims to provide a fully functional desktop, including a
wide range of multimedia, graphics, and development tools, as well as a
complete networking and office suite.
Thank you for your time.
Darren Austin,
GNOME.SlackBuild project.
