Mandrake is the best distro for 32 bit processing.
cant see any reason they wont be the best for 64.

Many poeple have specific needs, and different distributions are available to fit those needs. It is folly to argue over who has the best method, because for every advantage, I promise you I can name at least one disadvantage. Torsten

Anyway, to get back to the point, I can't wait for Hammer to really hit the market. AMD's future rides on this! They deserve to succeed, and I'm looking forward to getting my hands on an Athlon64 just as soon as I can afford to. With Mandrake and SuSE both ready with distros, hopefully the others will soon follow.

Gentoo has its fair share of problems, which gentoo users do not want to recognize.
I really wish people would look beyond the "best distro" idea. A one-size-fits-all approach is not the way to go. If you don't believe me, take a look at the behemoth Windows XP.Mandrake Linux 9.0 for AMD 64-bit technology is available.
Quite right - that's why Gentoo is really the best distro, because it isn't a distro at all ;-) It's a roll-your-own so you create exactly the distro you want, with nothing that you don't want, using beautifully engineered tools.Mandrake Linux 9.0 for AMD 64-bit technology is available.
Yours is the third "gentoo is best" post I've had replied to me this week.Mandrake Linux 9.0 for AMD 64-bit technology is available.
