FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Stuttgart, GERMANY -- Sep 03, 2007 -- The libquantum Development Team
(http://www.libquantum.de/) announces the release of libquantum 0.9.1,
the free quantum simulator.
The new release contains an interface for numerically solving the
Schroedinger equation. "This essentially allows the simulation of
arbitrary problems within quantum mechanics", says Hendrik Weimer,
physicist and libquantum core developer.
A version jump from 0.2.4 to 0.9.1 prepares the transition towards a
stable and a development branch. New features will be tested in the
development branch before they will be integrated into future stable
releases.
Further changes include several bug fixes and a license change to the
recently released third version of the GNU General Public License
(GPLv3).
About libquantum:
libquantum is a highly optimized C library for the simulation of
quantum systems, especially of quantum computers. Prominent features
include simulation of decoherence effects, quantum error correction.
