Thanks to the active collaboration of the Fosdem Team and the actives members of Association for Electronic Liberty, most talks and conferences that took place during FOSDEM 2003 where recorded for later disposal for everyone.
They will be put online as soon as possible, and we expect this to be done by Ferbuary 28, 2003. Please check RecordingFosdem2003 for more information and update We took special care for the recording of the keynotes by John "maddog" Hall, Richard Stallman and Professor Lawrence Lessig. For these we want to publish the sound and video as well as the writeups, and translations. In order to achieve this, we are looking for help. If you can help, please get in touch with us at activists@ael.be A enthusiastic report of the Fosdem by Allen Noren, entitled Fantastique FOSDEM is available at O'ReillyNet. Thanks again to the organisers, the speakers, and above all the participants who made this events the great social and technical event is has been. We would also like to thank Mr Elio Di Rupo, president of the Belgian Frenchspeaking parti socialiste (PS) who attended the Fosdem during 2 hours and showed us as well as told us how much he cares about freedom in general, and electronic freedom in particular. By attending, Mr Di Rupo stressed that the promotion of Free software and Free culture is a political action that needs to be supported by the politicians and the decision makers. More info about this can be found on http://groupeps.be (in French) See you next year for Fosdem 2004 and until then, let us actively develop Free Software and Free culture, and support the promotion and defense of our electronic liberty (not to forget the physical one from any pressure that as as important)
