The LWN.net kernel patch ticker

Since it was easy to do with the new site: there is now a new page where you can see the latest kernel patches as they get fed into our system. It is currently just an unorganized stream. We would like to hear if this feature is useful to anybody; if so, we may develop it further.

Search

It seems as though it would be useful to have a search feature. Depending on how much work it would be, perhaps limiting by kernel series (2.4, 2.5, etc.), subsystem, etc. The search would presumably be on the full text of the patch and any descriptive text that comes with it.

It's long time I searh for a central place where I can find all kernel patches available. Thanks!

It's better if I can find a link of tarball which collects all patches everyday (of course, it would be even better if a comment page of each patch is attached).

Add a date, please

Two words: Really Cool.

Besides that, I really like your new look, and that it is highly configurable. Also that LWN no longer is weekly news and limitied to a sparse Daily News, but gets updated daily in a proper way.

You’ve been my favourite Linux news distributor the last four years, and the new look makes LWN even better. Especially the option of commenting articles is an interesting feature, and it also helps you to see what interests people have out there.

Keep up the good work, folks.

Greetings,
sunny@lwn
