Tried the FF and TB combination for awhile too. Found FF getting slower with each release, early on it was faster than mozilla. In the end, I went back to mozilla v1.6 as it appeared to be faster. That was on first ever loads of new pages. I continue to use seamonkey for mail and browsing. As for themes I use the default and pull down a gtk or gtk2-engine so that it blends in with the other apps. I hope to continue using the seamonkey tree!
