Hello, we wrote a paper that compares vserver and xen further. The paper is co-authored with one of the vserver maintainers (Herbert Poetzl). The paper is available from:

Please take a peek at this paper. We try to make a case as to when one might want to use vserver vs. xen, and also devote multiple sections to evaluating the performance, scalability, and isolation properties of the two solutions.
