There may not be much to say on the topic yet. Who is in charge is less important than what actual policy changes take place. And there has been no time for the new CEO to do anything.

Personally, I think Novell needs to take a long hard look at how well hybrid OSS/Proprietary business models have worked for Linux companies in the past. Caldera being a notable example.

If Novell wants a Novell-sized piece of the pie, I think they are going to have to out-Redhat Redhat. And I don't think their old school corporate culture is capable of comprehending, let alone executing, a plan to achieve that.
