care to explain? i thought mozilla's licensed under the gpl, while djb's stuff is 'look but don't touch' - you can't redistribute the programs with any customizations of any sort.

You are allowed to use djb code in your own programs. He just doesn't want other people meddling with his released software.

Mozilla is the same. You are allowed to use the code (under the GPL), but you are not allowed to redistribute Firefox. You have to change the name and artwork first.
