devfs is beter.

I have to admit though, even after all this time, it still feels unconfortable to use.

too many cludges to keep the privilege info uptodate.
too many name changes.

I still have trouble find devices which had an obvious location before.

don't misunderstand me. something like devfs is the way to go. but we're still not there.
