Straw man argument. Yes, sure, hash collision. All the air molecules in this room might zip over to the other side and I could die of suffocation. I'm not worrying about that either, because even though it theoretically could happen, the probability of it happening is pretty damn low. I don't need to go around wearing a breathing mask for fear of Brownian motion taking my oxygen away, and I don't need to worry about SHA-1 hash collisions in entries in the repository.
