LinuxIT announces Professional Open Desktops based on Linux.
LinuxIT the UKs leading vendor-neutral solutions provider, today
announced the release of the Professional Open Desktop -a program for
Linux on the desktop aimed at providing organisations with viable
alternatives to Windows-based desktops and applications.
The Professional Open Desktop is designed for organisations with
non-technical staff, who need all the functionality of a Microsoft based
desktop and full interoperability with Microsoft and Unix systems but at
a much lower licence and maintenance cost. This program offers all the
functionality required for business, but without the vulnerability,
exposure and costs associated with the alternatives.
