Remember IBM Charged for Java Runtime for OS/2

IBM just couldn't drown it's child fast enough. After Warp4 came out with imbeded Java, IBM had to come up with a better plan for killing OS/2. So they started charging for the RUNTIME (binaries/libraries).

As long as Java is not properly licensed to benefit all. Sun can manipulate ANY of it's competitors.

Having worked with both, you'd be far better off using MONO.
