SBCL 0.8.16 released

William Harold Newman has announced SBCL 0.8.16 on 25 October 2004.
This version makes possible on more of the supported platforms to save
cores with foreign code loaded, adds performance improvements and
fixes several bugs.

SBCL (Steel Bank Common Lisp) is a Common Lisp implementation based on
the CMUCL (CMU Common Lisp) sources, but it puts a greater emphasis on
maintainability.  SBCL runs under Linux, xBSD and Tru64 on x86, MacOS
X (Darwin on PowerPC), Alpha, AMD64, MIPS, PPC and SPARC CPUs.
