Negative feedback = hostile atmosphere?

Yeah, this is utter insanity.

I've been thinking a lot about what the old days of LKML were like, before the corporate world jumped on. I started using Linux with a Slackware 3.1 CD, and my education in engineering was reading LKML, Alan Cox's blog, things of that nature.

The current landscape is just nutty, and it's pretty clear basic professionalism and understanding of our responsibilities has declined.
