A security issue affects these releases of Ubuntu and its derivatives:

- Ubuntu 25.04
- Ubuntu 24.10
- Ubuntu 24.04 LTS
- Ubuntu 22.04 LTS

Summary:

.NET could be used to perform spoofing over a network.

Software Description:
- dotnet8: .NET CLI tools and runtime
- dotnet9: .NET CLI tools and runtime

Details:

It was discovered that .NET did not properly handle file names and paths
under certain conditions. An attacker could possibly use this issue to
perform spoofing over a network.

Update instructions:

The problem can be corrected by updating your system to the following
