Obviously, Linus is talking about the stabilization of the 6.14 kernel, So why should patches for an filesystem which is explicitly marked as experimental be worrisome? This should have no effect at all on the stability of all the rest of the kernel and is clearly no obstacle to the stabilization.

And the change of maintainership is out of context here in the mail announcing the new rc. Linus' mail is only about the release of the new kernel. The rust vs. C debate and all related discussions are absolutely off topic. Putting that in this context looks like bad faith from your side.

I would even say that at sthis stage, rc *are* supposed to be all about bug fixing, so why would one single out some specific fixes?

The recent departure of maintainers, whatever you think of the individuals, is also not worrisome in the context this is written in, as in, do I have to worry something will break when I install this update.

Obviously the real worry is a different one: do I have to worry something will break when I install any future updates?
Fortunately both affected subsystems each still have one maintainer left...

Huh? An -rc (stabilization release, intended for fixes) includes some fixes. Is it supposed to be worrisome? They don't even stand out in the diffstat.
