There is a poor nameless guy between Yang Li and Chris Wright.

The man is also visible on the pictures made in 2006 and 5 (and just as
nameless (afaics))

There's also a guyless arrow, above Lee Schermerhorn's label. I can't tell if it was there on 2006 or 2005 though.

Who is "Head Bubba"? Is he a kernel developer? I never heard of him.

Head Bubba is VP, IT Research and Development at Credit Suisse. He's real, and listed on the 2006 Credit Suisse list of promotions to VP. The Linux Foundation has a PDF of the paper he presented.

He presented at the summits customer forum.

As noted he's from Credit Suisse...just wanted to point out he's a "bleeding edge" linux user and Infiniband/RDMA advocate. He's also presented at openfabrics.org several times.

Takes a bit to get used to his "first impression". He's really quite good at getting down to "what matters". I like him.

Btw, does anyone know why dwmw2 and sam are missing from the photo?
I think Evgeniy Polyakov was there too (saw some pics on his blog),
but not in this one.

And I think I see someone between Heiko Carstens and Neil Brown (well,
behind them actually) who chose the wrong moment to look down (probably
the same thing that caught the attention of gregkh and mingo) that makes
him the only unnamed, unidentifiable person in the photo :-(

David Woodhouse got distracted on the way to the photo site and wasn't able to break loose. Sam says he had to catch his plane. Evgeniy was busily taking pictures of his own.
