Advice: always pick an animal as logo. This way you can sell stuffed toy versions of your logo.

That isn't the kind of client I'd like to serve. In some jurisdictions if you offer a service you can't discriminate who your clients are. Hotel owner cannot say "we won't accommodate you", but if customer walks away it's OK.
Sure, lost $1k is not nice, but this kind of complaint is a big red flag. This customer would probably turn into huge hassle later.
